Apparently even despite the middling reception of Mighty No. System Shock is available for pre-order now on PC and Linux via Epic Games Store, GOG, and Steam with each platform offering the free demo. ![]() And the station’s AI, SHODAN, seems to have developed quite the God complex. Murderous robots, killer cyborgs, and malicious mutants have run amok. Players, in the space-boots of an unnamed hacker who awakes after a six-month snooze, finds Citadel Station in quite the state. The new System Shock is a complete remake of the groundbreaking immersive sim, first released in 1994. Nightdive went in and recreated the game with HD visuals, updated controls, revamped hacking, and added areas and secrets to Citadel Station. This isn’t just a refresh or a remaster that provides some stability improvements and slight graphical updates. I want to note, this is a remake from the ground up. Not only do we have a trailer for you to check out below, but a free demo is now available for fans to check out.
